We are starting the metamorphosis of Renoma in Wrocław

Globalworth – a leading office investor in Central and Eastern Europe – has obtained a permit for the renovation and reconstruction of the Renoma Department Store. This means the beginning of the metamorphosis of the iconic building planned by the owner, which will gain a new design and a modified offer.

Renoma is an icon of Wrocław architecture. A place with history and character. Therefore, the concept of changes was prepared by a team of outstanding architects led by Zbigniew Maćkow. The new interior design idea will refer to the historical style of the Wertheim Department Store. When restoring the details of the building from ancient times, the investor actively cooperates with a conservator.

The first arrangement works will start in the fourth quarter of this year. Due to customer comfort, the renovation will be carried out in several stages in parts of Renoma that were previously closed. Modernization works are planned for 2 years.

Renoma is a pearl of Wrocław's architecture, which deserves a metamorphosis that will give it new splendor and functions expected by the city's inhabitants today. We will not only take care of a new commercial, service and catering offer, but also enrich Renoma with modern office space. We will also take care of the revival of Czysty Square, which will overlook the restaurant gardens, thanks to which this place will gain a new character.
Barbara Wójcik, Senior Asset Manager at Globalworth Poland

Nowa Renoma means not only additional office space, but also completely new areas for restaurants and broadly understood gastronomy. The inspiration for the design of these places is Hala Koszyki in Warsaw – the gastronomic center of the capital, owned and managed by Globalworth.

Thanks to Hala Koszyki, today Warsaw is among the world's largest metropolises such as New York, London and Florence, where market and restaurant halls, under one roof, teem with life and tastes from all over the world meet. As Globalworth, we have unique experiences from Hala Koszyki, which we want to use in carrying out the gastronomic metamorphosis of Renoma. Our plan envisages locating commercial, catering and service functions on levels 0 and -1. There will be modern office spaces on the upper floors
Anna Merta, Leasing Director Retail at Globalworth Poland

The metamorphosis of Renoma is a very well-thought-out operation whose beginnings date back to 2018. At that time, Globalworth commissioned a comprehensive study of expectations regarding the development of the offer of this unique property. As part of the research, we talked to over a thousand residents of Wrocław. Based on what we learned from them, we have prepared a long-term strategy for the development of Renoma’s offer. In our portfolio, customers will still be able to find premium fashion brands unique on the map of Wrocław, complemented by an office zone and an original catering and service offer.

We hope that the new face of Renoma will meet the expectations of Wrocław residents even more. It is an iconic building in a perfect location, distinguished by its timeless architecture. Therefore, keeping up with the times, we have designed a significant expansion of the gastronomy format, which, in order to increase urban vitality, will be open to both public spaces adjacent to the building: Plac Czysty and Plac Kościuszki. The facility will also continue to have commercial and service functions based on the premium segment, as well as comfortable office spaces
Zbigniew Maćków, who led the architectural work on the creation of the new wing of Renoma in 2005-2009.

Renoma, built in 1930, is one of the most characteristic facilities on the commercial map of Poland. After expansion and modernization in 2009, the property gained new functions. There are over 120 shops and service points on the lower floors, while the upper floors are occupied by offices and a restaurant. Renoma is one of three office and retail projects in the Globalworth Poland portfolio, next to Hala Koszyki in Warsaw and Supersam in Katowice.
