Dinette will move from Theater Square to Kosciuszko Square in Renoma

Dinette – repeatedly recognized in prestigious culinary rankings and one of the most popular restaurants in Wroclaw – will move to Renoma, where it will create an atmospheric place inspired by art deco and modernism styles. An additional advantage of the new place will be its south-facing storefronts and a garden facing Kosciuszko Square.

Dinette is a successful combination of bistro, bar and bakery, which has been very popular for eleven years, offering breakfast, lunch and evening menus along with baked goods baked on site. This place, popular with Wroclaw residents and tourists, will join Renoma’s tenants in the first quarter of next year.

When thinking about the new Renoma, we wanted to make available to guests and customers, both an extraordinary shopping and cultural experience, as well as a unique culinary experience. That’s why we invited local restaurateurs who are passionate and committed to creating original, often niche concepts and providing quality. It is a very great honor for us and a sign of confidence on the part of the tenant that the Dinette brand has decided to move its restaurant to Renoma. The presence of such a highly recognizable brand in our building also demonstrates an appreciation of the potential of the location and the space on offer.”

Barbara Wójcik, Asset Management & Leasing Director, Globalworth Poland.

Dinette restaurant in Renoma will occupy 500 sqm on the first floor facing Kosciuszko Square. The new location will provide spectacular south-facing storefronts and an atmospheric garden, allowing guests to enjoy the pleasure of eating outdoors. It will be a contemporary bistro with a café and its own bakery, complemented by a striking bar area. With its diverse offerings, it will be ideal for morning coffee, daily lunch or an informal meeting after work.

After seven years in Theater Square, the time has come for new challenges. In this move, we see not only an opportunity to refresh our brand’s image and offerings, but also to further develop it with a new, larger space. We are committed to bringing out the potential of the new place – both architecturally and culinarily, as Renown obliges us all. We believe that this is the perfect place for the development of our concept, and the efficient negotiations and professionalism of the landlord confirmed our decision.”

says Jolanta Jurkowlaniec, restaurateur and owner of the Dinette brand.

The decor of the premises will be inspired by the art deco style and a reference to the modernism era. All this to make the interiors fit in with Renoma’s unusual architecture and atmosphere. The BUCK STUDIO studio is responsible for arranging the restaurant for the Dinette brand. The design firm has a track record of success in creating original and functional dining spaces. As in the case of previous establishments under the Dinette banner, the designers will also create a unique place in the iconic Wrocław building.

Legal support for the transaction was provided to the parties by Warsaw-based Argon Legal, a law firm that specializes in legal services for commercial projects.

Renoma is one of Wroclaw’s most recognizable buildings and an icon of modernist architecture. The building opened in 1930 under its original name, Wertheim Department Store, and was designed by Berlin architect Hermann Dernburg. The facades of the building were decorated with sculptures of heads of people from different regions of the world, which still exist today, intended to symbolize not only the international origin of the goods offered, but above all cultural diversity and openness to others. The Wertheim Department Store, which was destroyed as a result of warfare, was partially rebuilt and opened in 1948 as the General Department Store, and all its floors were not put into use until 1985, at which time the building took its current name chosen in a competition by the citizens of Wroclaw. In 2009, Renoma was rebuilt and expanded according to a design by Wroclaw architect Zbigniew Maćkow. The lower floors housed more than 120 stores and service outlets, while the upper floors were occupied by offices and a restaurant area. The building is currently undergoing another metamorphosis, which will see the restoration of the pre-war architecture of the courtyards, as well as new functions. Renoma is one of three office and retail projects in Globalworth Poland’s portfolio, alongside Warsaw’s Hala Koszyki and Katowice’s Supersam.
