A key stage of the metamorphosis of Renoma in Wrocław

Globalworth, the owner and manager of Renoma in Wrocław, has chosen Tétris as the general contractor for the reconstruction of the facility. Thus, the main stage of work on the metamorphosis of the architectural pearl of Wrocław began, coinciding with the 91st anniversary of its foundation.

The metamorphosis of Renoma is entering a decisive stage – the newly selected general contractor, Tétris, has just started the main works on the reconstruction of the facility. Thanks to them, the interior of the building will change beyond recognition – the new design will refer to the historical style of the Wertheim Department Store. The entire process is carried out under the supervision of a conservator, with whom the owner and manager of the property, Globalworth, actively cooperates. However, changes in Renoma are not limited only to architecture, they also include enriching the offer and interesting new features in its surroundings.

The metamorphosis will give Renoma new splendor and functions expected by the city's inhabitants today. Our Wrocław pearl will gain a new commercial and gastronomic offer. Instead of a traditional food court, we focus on original, original catering concepts with gardens - through the new development of Czysty Square and the eventual opening to Kościuszki Square. The reputation will also be enriched with top-class office space, dedicated to tenants who value the prestigious location in the very center of the city, the historic character of the building and its surroundings, and at the same time modern technical and functional solutions.
Barbara Wójcik, Senior Asset Manager at Globalworth Poland
At Renoma, we do not want to compete with large shopping malls. We decided to take a different path and use the experience from our other facilities, primarily Hala Koszyki in Warsaw. In the commercial part, we focus on fashion brands with a long tradition of presence in Renoma, which are not available in other facilities in the region. The offer will be complemented by shops for everyday purchases, service points and a medical clinic. A very important feature that we place particular emphasis on is locality, uniqueness and respect for the tradition and architecture of Renoma. We do not try to copy solutions from other projects, but we use the potential of the location and adapt the offer to the expectations of the local community and internal customers, i.e. office workers.
Anna Merta, Leasing Director Retail at Globalworth Poland

The reconstruction process is a major logistical and construction challenge because it takes place in an open, functioning facility.

The reconstruction of Renoma is a unique project on many levels. The works will be supervised by a conservator, because the primary goal is to restore its former appearance and character. Moreover, our activities were planned so as not to completely close the space and enable partial functioning of the mall - both the shops located there and the Lux Med medical facility. We will only work at night, in specifically designated zones. The project requires efficient logistics solutions and maintaining high safety standards. However, we know that this solution is more convenient for both Renoma's tenants and clients - especially since such facilities have been closed many times in the last twelve months due to the pandemic.
Maciej Targosz, Regional Director of Tétris in Southern Poland

The project manager was GLEEDS, one of the leading international construction consultant companies dealing with consulting and management in the construction industry.

For the sake of customer comfort, the modernization of Renoma is being carried out in stages, in parts of the facility previously excluded from use. All modernization works will be completed in 2022.

Tétris started its operations in 2003 and quickly became one of the leading European brands in the field of office arrangement and space planning. The goodwill of the company was built based on corporate projects. Tétris has become a key partner for real estate investors, owners of leading retail brands, as well as international hotels whose success depends directly on the unique character of the interiors.

Renoma, built in 1930, is one of the most characteristic buildings on the commercial map of Poland and an icon of Wrocław architecture. It is one of three office and retail projects in the Globalworth Poland portfolio, next to Hala Koszyki in Warsaw and Supersam in Katowice.
